Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Still Serving Food (operated as Letsnarf™ at letsnarf.com) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit or use our website and search tool. By using this site you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Search Data
When you use the restaurant search tool, we process the search terms you enter (restaurant name, location, and optional time filter). These queries are sent to our server to retrieve kitchen hours data from third-party sources. We do not permanently store individual search queries linked to identifiable users.
1.2 Log Data
Our hosting provider automatically collects standard web server log data, which may include your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used for security monitoring and aggregate traffic analysis and is not shared for marketing purposes.
1.3 Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser sessionStorage to track whether you have used your free search
in the current session. We also use localStorage to remember your advertising
consent preference so we know whether to load Google AdSense. No persistent tracking cookie
is set by our own code for the free-search gate. Third-party services (see below) may set
their own cookies once you consent.
1.4 Payment Data
If you purchase a subscription, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store or have access to your full card number. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy. We store only a subscriber token (a JWT) in your browser to verify your subscription status.
2. Google AdSense & Advertising
Still Serving Food uses Google AdSense to display advertisements on this website. Google AdSense is a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC. Google may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to Letsnarf™ and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
- For EU/EEA users, Google uses the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework to manage consent for personalised ads.
Google AdSense may collect data including, but not limited to: device information, IP address, browsing history on sites displaying AdSense, and interaction with ads. This data is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
We present an advertising-consent banner before loading AdSense so you can choose whether Google-served ads should run in your browser.
Ads settings
You can turn off Google-served ads on this device at any time. This revokes the consent choice stored in your browser for Letsnarf™.
3. Third-Party Services
The search tool integrates with the following third-party services to retrieve venue information:
- Firecrawl — web scraping service used to extract kitchen hours from restaurant websites. See firecrawl.dev/privacy.
- Google Places API — used to retrieve venue hours as a fallback. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- OpenStreetMap / Overpass API — public, open data. No personal data is shared.
- Foursquare — used to enrich venue data. See foursquare.com/legal/privacy.
- Apify — used for social media scraping. See apify.com/privacy-policy.
4. Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate site usage (e.g., which articles are most popular, what cities are searched most). If we use a third-party analytics provider, we will update this policy accordingly. We do not currently use Google Analytics.
5. Children's Privacy
This website is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights including:
- The right to access data we hold about you
- The right to request deletion of your data
- The right to opt out of personalised advertising (see Section 2)
- GDPR rights for EU/EEA residents
- CCPA rights for California residents
To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@letsnarf.com.
7. Data Security
We use HTTPS for all data transmission. Our server applies security headers including Content-Security-Policy, X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options, and Referrer-Policy to reduce common web vulnerabilities.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Significant changes will be noted prominently on the homepage.
